Jeff is the co-founder of the Institute and brings with him extensive hands-on business experience. Jeff recently left his position as CEO Media for the SOUL Group in June 2007 to establish the Institute. In that role he was directly responsible for the running of NBN Television, one of Australia’s most highly regarded and successful broadcast companies. Jeff played an integral role in the sale of the company to PBL Media. During his time with the NBN and SOUL Groups he was actively involved in the expansion of the Group from its media base to the converging world of telecommunications, through an IPO and a number of on and off market acquisitions. Jeff is a respected member of the Newcastle community, is Chairman of The Newcastle University Foundation, a Director of Hunter Water Corporation and a Director of the Mayamurri Trust, a Hunter based healing centre for survivors of child abuse.

Scott is the co-founder of the Institute and is one of Australia’s most respected strategic thinkers. Scott was the Senior Advisor to the Hon Michael Costa MLC, former NSW Treasurer, Minister for Infrastructure and Minister for the Hunter in the NSW Government. Scott’s economic and business credentials are extensive, having published 6 books and over 50 Referred articles, as well as serving terms as President of the Small Business Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand (of which he is a Life Member) and as Board member of the International Council of Small Business. Scott was recognised as “The Best Entrepreneurial Educator of the Year”in 2006 by the Business/Higher Education Round Table (BHERT) and has consulted to a number of private and public entities, including several Boards and Advisory Boards. Scott is a leading thinker in the areas of business and economic investment and reform and marries these practical skills with a great desire to help create positive social outcomes.
